I think I've been obsessed with scrapbook paper and ribbon lately. I saw this idea of decorating clipboards on Controlling my chaos (great site by the way) and gave it a try. Anything to do with paper, Mod Podge, and ribbon is always fun. Here are a few that I've done. Go here to check out Jill's clipboards and for step by step instructions.

Felt Alphabet Book
This fall after adjusting to having a new little one in the house and not teaching preschool this year and the rest of the kids in school all day, I was discovering that I had a little extra time on my hands. I decided it was a great time to do some crafty things that I've always wanted to attempt. In searching the internet, I discovered that there are some pretty crafty people out there and came across a site where she made felt name books for her two boys and thought the books were so cute. She is one talented lady too. You can see her books and get the patterns she made here. I decided to make an entire alphabet book for my little one using the same technique.
I started this project back in November and finally finished it tonight! I'm so excited for my little guy to enjoy this, when he's a bit older of course. Here are a few of the pages:

Tender Pork Roast
This is one of my husbands favorite meals; so easy and so delicious. Just place it in the crock pot in the morning then at dinner time all you have to do is fix some side dishes to go along with it.
Tender Pork Roast
1 3-lb. boneless pork roast
1 (8oz.) can tomato sauce
3/4 cup soy sauce
1/2 cup sugar
2 teaspoon ground mustard
Cut roast in half and place in a 5 quart slow cooker. Combine remaining ingredients and pour over roast. Cover and cook on low for 8-9 hours or until a meat thermometer read 160 -170 degrees.
Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Oatmeal Cookies
Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Oatmeal Cookies
(recipe from AllRecipes.com)
1/2 cup butter, softened
3/4 cup brown sugar
3/4 cup white sugar
3/4 cup peanut butter
1 egg
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
3/4 cup all-purpose flour
1/4 cup whole wheat flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup rolled oats
1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees
2. In a large bowl, cream together the butter, brown sugar, white sugar and peanut butter until smooth. Beat in the egg and vanilla. Combine the flour, wheat flour, baking soda and salt; stir into the peanut butter mixture. Finally, mix in the oats and chocolate chips. Drop by rounded spoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheets.
3. Bake for 8 minutes in the preheated oven, or until edges are golden. Remove from cookie sheets to cool on wire racks.
*I changed the recipe just a bit by using milk chocolate chips and also added some peanut butter chips. I also switched the amounts of flour; I used 3/4 cup wheat flour and 1/4 cup all-purpose flour.
