For years I've had these wicker baskets that have held various things in our laundry room. We're in the process of sprucing up the room and thought about getting new baskets. After pricing new ones, I decided it would be cheaper to give the old ones a little face lift and that meant pulling out the spray paint!
We used Krylon Indoor/Outdoor- Leather Brown. After a few coats of paint, I'm happy with the result. Now only 6 more baskets to go.
Hi! I just found your blog and I'm enjoying looking around at all of your ideas! I think the basket looks fantastic! How much spray paint did it take for each basket? I'm just wondering if it was hard to get into all of the little crevices.
ReplyDeleteThanks Leslie!! It took about 3/4 of a can for each basket to get it that dark and to get into all the crevices! It wasn't hard to do it just took a little more paint than I thought. Each can of paint was about $4.00 so it was still cheaper than buying new baskets.
DeleteOh my word - I never thought of painting my old baskets! What a great idea!! It looks great. I'm pinning this. Cute blog by the way. I'm enjoying looking around. :)
